Six years after the incident at Raccoon City Leon, from Resident Evil 2, is back now working on finding and rescuing the missing President’s daughter. However, Leon is confronted by mysterious hostiles. It was released in an interview that these hostiles are neither human nor zombies.
Controls are similar to the other Resident Evil games, and they are fairly polished; although, I dislike the aiming system. It is incredibly annoying to learn, and on the PS2 the analog stick “sticks” occasionally making aiming near impossible at times.
Stories of the Presidents daughter going missing have been done a lot, while Resident Evil 4 does have it’s own unique touché, it still feel a little cliché. Resident Evil 4 doesn’t have any “namby pamby” start where your only goal is too push the “X” button. After a few cinematics which set the scene, you’re blasting baddies too hell. Note: I would suggest starting on Easy mode because you get better weaponry early on.
Music/Sound can change the mood of games. Obviously, since Resident Evil is a scary, and somewhat depressing game, the music will be slow and quiet. All the sounds effects were extensively worked on to increase realism – Capcom did a good job.
Resident Evil 4 is a solid game, with very decent graphics, and some nice features. The controlling can be annoying, but if you get it under control RE4 should be a very fun experience. Besides, blasting randoms with a shot gun rarely gets boring.
